It’s a good thing that I enjoy learning, because I haven’t stopped learning since the moment I realized I had to get a divorce. First I learned all the things I could about asking for a divorce and preparing for one by reading online articles and posts. Then I joined groups on Facebook and followed hashtags on other social media like TikTok and Instagram. I downloaded negotiation strategies and checklists, and listened to podcasts to learn from others’ experiences.
Unfortunately for me, every state appears to handle things differently, and finding people in Ohio to learn from was much harder. Worse, every county within my state seemed to be a unique as well. So once things got moving, I had to learn literally by doing.
If anyone out there reading this post is in Portage County, Ohio, let me tell you, I’m here to share my tea and it’s piping hot, freshly poured.
